The Man with the Movie Camera 1929
Directed by: Dziga Vertov

"This film presents an experiment in the cinematic communication of visible events, without the aid of inter titles
(A film without inter titles), without the aid of a scenario (A film without a scenario), without the aid of theater
(A film without sets, Actors, etc.).

This experimental work aims at creating a truly international absolute language of cinema, based on its total separation from the language of theater and literature.

Author supervisor of the experiment: "Dziga Vertov"

It says it all like this at the beginning of the film, what else can I say!?

And thankfully, Man with a Movie Camera is well known and respected enough, to not need any introduction from my side.
Probably the first serious look at the 'behind the scene of the cinema' as well. Not just showing the mechanical procedures of the film making, but also talking about the author's -cinematic- point of view.
